Merry Christmas Everyone! MLB may have given us a lump of coal in our stockings this year but you guys are the gifts that keep on giving!

Same to you and to all here. Is it a lump of coal we’ve received? Or just a simple side-track? The lessons we learn are of the value of our time, and what we can accomplish with it. When something is nothing more than entertainment decides to shut down, life goes on. If baseball never came back, this site could exist for other reasons having to do simply with life.
Music, food, friendship. Experiences. Or we could find other entertainment. I’m not worried so much about it as I was way back in ‘81, or ‘94, or 2020…

Where I lived in California between Monterey and San Jose, any little store front window was decorated for Christmas with the familiar phase, Feliz Navidad. Many years ago, a friend of mine who is bilingual had a visitor who did not speak a word of Spanish. After driving past multiple store front windows, the monolingual visitor asked my friend, “Who is this Felix Navidez guy everybody’s talking about?” To this day, my bilingual friend and I wish each other “Felix Navidez” every Christmas Holiday. So, to everyone here at HeAmyHa, Felix Navidez!

Just remembered another bit about the same guy. At some point, my friend went to buy tacos for the visitor and the group of friends who were hanging out together. When he picked up the food, the taqueria explained that they had run out of fresh taco shells, so the last few to complete the order were substituted with tostadas. When the visitor saw that my friend was eating a tostada rather than a taco, he asked quite seriously, “Why didn’t they bend them for you?”

Great little Mexican place. I hated Mexican food back east. Here, it’s terrific. We got to a little hole in the wall diner about an hour from our house any time we’re in the area, and the food has been great every time. For those who may be wondering, I get the chili sauce on the side so I can control how much and to keep it from making the taco soggy…

Merry Christmas and Happy Everything Else to all of you on this wonderful forum. Sorry I've been caught up in the seasonal running around and shirking my hardball responsibilities. I'll be barging back in soon. But thanks to every one of you for being part of one of the very few social media sites where the discussions are always civil and the topics are invariably interesting. Party on!🥳🍸
