I can see a Simpson's type mob on their way to Cashman's office after seeing this. No Martian, but yes on Greg Allen light with Duke Ellis. The new Locastro… 🤓

Since joining this message board I can't remember being so tempted to use foul language. Ellis, whom I never heard of gets promoted but the Yankees top prospect Dominguez doesn't?
What kind of sense does that make? They want Verdugo to get the playing time over Dominguez, which is asinine. its not Verdugo but they rather have Grisham over Dominguez? So when Stanton takes a day off they rather have an inept .180 outfielder in the lineup. Plain stupid. Grisham should be DFAd immediately.

Duke who? 😂
I've honestly never seen a front office/manager so intent on pissing on their fans. You have a LF playing everyday who has contributed NOTHING but groundouts to 2B for months. You have your top prospect hitting the cover off the ball at AAA who can play the very same position. Instead of calling him up, you call up a guy whose only reasonable purpose is a pinch runner. Make it make sense...

I have to say I saw this coming. Things like this is why a 300 million dollar payroll can nevertheless bring fans to call the Yankees “cheap.” Nickel and dime decisions to save a few bucks and stave off a year of arbitration, rather than putting the best team in the field in a year in which they are supposedly “all in.”

Do callups after Sept. 1 count as "service time"?

Do callups after Sept. 1 count as "service time"? MLB actually counts the days a guy is on the 26 man roster. A player is considered to have "a year" when he has 172 roster days. Since the September roster is a 28 man roster, I am as uncertain as you are.

I think I read somewhere that callups after Sept. 1 do not count. Either way, Dominguez should be up, as has been posted here, to replace Grisham.

Completes the trifecta of outfielders who can't hit a lick. They can move seamlessly from Verdugo to Grisham to Ellis without missing a wasted at bat.

Another reason to fire Cashman. We have a few dead wood spots on the bench but Cashman refuses to bring up an untouchable young player.

Dominguez isn't up because he won't get regular ABs. They won't bring him up to be in the 4th OF role of Grisham.

Only that it will make the Yankees have a shot to get a post 1st round pick if he wins the ROY award next year. They are doing this because they'd rather play Verdugo.

They said a few times Sept call up does not affect arbitrations. It's just playing time and excuses. We are just frustrated after seeing these bad teams beat us.
