Did anyone doubt that Pipps is the only one of us to try a Reggie Bar?  You are amazing, Sir! I salute you!  Inger did too. It's because we're old. Did he really? Did he eat it as it came out of the package or put in in the oven until heated all the way through? |

We went to a small bedroom community outside of Colorado Springs the other day, Calhan. We stumbled on the best pizza we have eaten since we came out west. When the bill came, we could see that the owners were quite proud of it, but couldn’t really complain because it was so good. $24, which included a couple of iced teas, so not outrageous, but hefty for a 12” pepperoni. Damned good, but almost two hours from us… I'd rather pay 24 bucks for a great pizza than 12 bucks for a bad one. It's hard to mess up pizza, but many places do. Fully agree. We left the place delighted and would go there again if we get back to Calhan. There is a little-known tourist attraction just outside of town, but we didn’t have time to stop. It’s called Painted Mines Interpretive (Park? Canyon?). Any way, it’s a small canyon but it’s very colorful. The local Native Americans used to go the to collect the muds and soils to make their paint. War paint, hinting party paint. Sadly, in today’s America some A-Holes have entered recently with spray paint and have defiled some of the hoodoos and canyon walls. So they lock the gates at 5:00 PM… That kind of stuff infuriates me. I hated it out east, but out here it gets to me all the worse. Yes. Native Americans. I don’t like the name African Americans, or Hispanic Americans, Irish Americans. But I have a great deal of respect for our Native peoples and feel they deserve the moniker. The story of the way we defeated the Native Americans brings me near to tears… |

We had them in the Philly area Chi. Sold at Wawa. Maybe because Reggie was from Philly? Wawa's never made their way up to north-central PA, sadly. They've been hugging the coast. Lots of them in VA and FL. Not as good as they used to be, but still better than most convenience stores. |

Damn that friggin Springer. I have never seen a player flub so many plays and avoid getting errors. Freaking Gleyber. It's almost like a gift. Between insane scoring decisions and errors that don't count as errors. You have to watch him regularly to appreciate how bad he is. |

We have “Loaf and Jug” which I have come to dislike, and the tourists titter at our “Kum and Go” chain. My step daughter was very amused at those and also the Pueblo School athletic nickname, “The Swallows”… I guess especially embarrassing for the girl’s squads…
