Who here would have walked Miguel Cabrera to pitch to Austin Meadows with the game on the line and denying Cabrera one last chance to get his 3000th hit? I think it was the right baseball move, forgetting all the 3000 hit stuff. It seem like a no brainer to me and it would have worked if Hicks didn't misjudge Meadow's flyball. |

I agree that it was the move to make baseball-wise; however, I really do not like Austin Meadows and I would have wanted to feel that pressure situation and for my team to feel it, too. And, as a baseball fan, would you have wanted to see the drama? It's what we love about the game. I would have pitched to Cabrera, but I understand the rationale not to do so. But, what about playing this game well past adulthood is rational? Bring on the spectacle!
