You don't see many games where you get dominated that bad and win. Hopefully it messes up Toronto.

Whoa! That was an unexpected and pleasant surprise. I was hoping for one hit, and hoping was the right word. I did not think we would get one.

This team can look dead for a long time but they wake up just in time.

Sorry, I had a phone call but I was watching the game the whole time. JUDGE COMES UP CLUTCH IN THE BOTTOM OF THE 9TH WITH THE WALKOFF HR! WHAT COULD BE BETTER THAN THAT!

Were you able to express your joy on the phone, or did you have to restrain yourself? I’ve had both kinds of calls during Yankee games. I much prefer to be able to cut loose…

Anybody know Hicks' righty/lefty splits? Last year he was Jonathan Davis bad from the left side. 2021:
vs RHB as LHB: .173/.300/.240
vs LHB as RHB: .242/.278/.546
Career:
vs RHB as LHB: .227/.334/381 vs LHB as RHB: .249/.330/.430

Thanks, kaybli. Right now, we have several hitters who are in 1 or 2 for their last 15 or 16 at bats kind od slump--Hicks(although he seems to have drawn a lot of walks during that time), Torres, Falefa, Higashioka (although that might be considered a hitting streak for him), maybe one or two others like Rizzo. Extremely poor hitting for almost a week. Yet we've won most of those games.

I had to go the John and Suzyn route from the eighth inning onward. I was so happy about the result that even Sterling's disjointed rambling and contrived hysteria didn't annoy me as much as it usually does. That was a great win. With the right hero.

I enjoy the Blue Jays' announcer's salty tears:
