And Judge did it in 2,197 ABs to Maris's 3,007. Reggie had over 2,300 ABs as a Yankee and he's not on the list. Roger Maris was an outstanding player and a good man, but he was not the player Aaron Judge is. I used to say that Judge played right field in a similar manner to Maris, but Aaron's all-around athleticism is superior. And that's not a criticism of Maris, just an acknowledgement of how exceptional Judge is. |
