Jax. There also was (maybe still is) a beer out of Jacksonville called Jax. Every bit as bad as Schmidt's. I think Jax is a New Orleans beer also. My brother and I had a huge collection of cans back in the day. My grandparents were world renowned beer drinkers and helped us out a bunch. Okay, I had to look this up. Jax Beer was made in Jacksonville from 1914 until 1956, when it was sold to New Orleans-based Jackson Brewing Company. Another of life's mysteries solved.
