Just sickening to watch real time.
Not really anything left to say, but I say it again to just hope that maybe it’ll break the hex the Yankees have on us.
The Twins can’t win more than a game or two against the Yankees in a year. We haven’t beaten them in the season series since 1992. That streak will reach 3 decades unless we miraculously sweep them at Yankee Stadium. We haven’t won the season series against them since their last losing season.
We have not swept the Yankees since 1991. The last time we swept the Yankees was when we were 95-67 and won the World Series, and they were 71-91 in their last 90 loss season to date.
We are now 39-111 against the Yankees since 2002. We have been one of the best regular season teams in baseball over that stretch. 30 years as the Yankees fleshlight.
I hope to god if we make the playoffs, we don’t have to play the Yankees. But we all know if we make it, they’ll be waiting. They always are.

Donaldson plays a mean third base. He's been solid, and his arm is underrated in my opinion. I read somewhere that the Yankees lead the majors in runs saved at third base. Great work by Donaldson and DJ. |

Sanchez is the worst framer I've seen in my life...snatch snatch snatch Yet, our own announcing team said his framing has been highly rated this year. They can’t compliment the stolen base defense. The Twins have allowed a 91% success rate this year… Sandwich stinks at framing strikes, much less making balls appear to be strikes. |

I have two late afternoon solo at appointments tomorrow, so I’d miss the start anyway… in fact one appointment is at 4:00 and one at 6:00. I’ll miss a good half or so of the game.
