Hahahahhhaaha, we could have ended this innings earlier if Trevino was just used like that. What a pickup he has been. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Good things happen when you send hitters up there who have an actual batting average. Pitching was excellent. Enough to overcome abysmal hitting. Good, if maybe undeserved, win.

I often wish I had watched baseball in a period where hitting was better. But it is what it is

I often wish I had watched baseball in a period where hitting was better. But it is what it is The steroid era? 1900-1960 Imagine watching when someone could hit .400 as compared to being a superstar when they hit .300 and they stole bases once a week

1900-1960 Imagine watching when someone could hit .400 as compared to being a superstar when they hit .300 and they stole bases once a week There were plenty of ups and downs in that 1900-1960 era. And one of the reasons players hit .400 was the dead base balls that wouldn’t carry over the fence. Everyone hit line drives with level swings until Ruth came along…

Everyone hit line drives with level swings until Ruth came along… That and gloves just a little bigger than the human hand. And some players still refusing to use them. Can you imagine! Of course with a ball the consistency of a marshmallow, not so bad…
