I doubt your power is as bad as mine. -9 in my left eye, -8.25 in my right. Too much time on the computer. I wore glasses from my mid-20s until I was about 60. I quit wearing them then and haven't gone back. I can have problems with really small print, but other than that I think my vision has actually improved in my old age. Now hearing is a different matter. What did you say? Huh?

That's when my eyes began to worsen, when I started staring into a computer screen all day. I went to get LASIK but they said my corneas are too thin for the surgery. That’s what you get for losing weight! …

My aunt told me to bide my time, because in my sixties I would probably not need glasses anymore. Evidently, it happened to her and my grandmother. An optometrist explained it to me once. Something about the narrowing of something or other as we age that can make it appear that our eyes have improved. My apologies, but he had a strong Asian accent and I did not want to embarrass him and acted like I understood every word. I can't tell you how many times I've pretended to understand someone with a heavy accent. Part of life. Unfortunately I have this problem with Carlos Beltran, although from what I can understand I'm not really missing much.

I went to get LASIK but they said my corneas are too thin for the surgery. I paid for that for Sarah, and her eyes were awful before the surgery. After ten years, she started to have to wear cheater glasses to read. Still, much improved, as she was nearly blind without her glasses or contacts when I met her. I got Ruthie glasses. She had been so horribly impaired her whole life. Hubby number one refused to take her for glasses, making her feel as though since she didn’t drive she wasn’t worthy… Such a Richard that guy was / is…

I wear glasses for distance, mostly while I'm driving. As a wee lad, I had 20-10 vision. That all changed around age 35. Unfortunately, my right eye is my dominant eye and is much worse now than my left. I was told mine was better than 20-10 when I was young. Early fifties was my time for glasses. I’m still 20/20 in the left eye, but 20/80 in my right (dominant) eye. Diabetes sucks… It does, both of my parents have diabetes.

I'm blind as a bat and have been wearing contacts since high school. Recently, driving at night as been more difficult, ugh, I'm starting to resemble my dad. Get some of those yellow glasses for night time. They help a ton… Can you wear them with contacts?
