Do you guys remember when Clint Frazier hit what looked like a moon shot HR in this place and it hit one of those cat walks and turned into a double or even an out? Yes, unfortunately I do. The best is the engineers telling the Rays that it was impossible for any baseball to hit the catwalks. Great engineers they got there.

So it's true what they say about the Aggies? That depends, what have your heard in the pubs of Pennsylvania? We don't hear much about them up here, but when we lived in New Mexico there were lot of Texans who had homes in Santa Fe and they were always bashing them for being rather slow. Of course they bashed the New Mexicans for being even slower.

It is even worth it to get the out and end the inning if it doesn't look cool? When I was playing in the industrial league in Texas, I almost got into a fight with a Texas A&M graduate who was more concerned about looking good than making a play. My real issue was his constant berating of an older player on our team who pitched for us. After the A&M doofus made a boneheaded play in the outfield, I pressed him on it when he passed me at third base and then let him have it when we were in the dugout. Afterward, I was patted on the back by every player in the dugout with one exception. Tigers and Aggies never really have gotten along very well. Good for you, nice to see a bully put in his place.

It is a lame question. Rafael Soriano has to be one of them. David Robertson? I looked up D-Rob and though he pitched for Tampa Bay last year, he had no saves. I thought maybe Randy Choate. Surprisingly, Choate had five saves for the Rays, but never had any for the Yankees.

On the one hand, the Rays are missing five regular position players and you'd think the Yankees could take advantage. On the other hand, it doesn't matter much who the Rays put out there, they always play pretty much the same. So maybe we shouldn't expect the Yankees to take advantage.

I had written the company's manual for inventory control. Upon introduction, he told me he had read the manual, that it was good but "too wordy." I asked him what section or chapter specifically. He said, I was taught by my English professor at my university that any sentence with more than six words was too long." I replied, "What were the circumstances of the..." I stopped. He looked at me quizzically and said, "Of the what? You didn't finish." Sheepishly, I said, "I'm sorry. I didn't want to exceed six words." The engineering room rolled. He hated me after that exchange.

Right after the win the other night, I left to get some ice cream at the store. Mint Chocolate Chip!
