Javier is dueling like Cy Young, everything is working. Even fastball catching the middle of the plate are not even close to getting hit. I think it is a combination of Javier pitching the game of his life and the Yankees looking slow to react overall.

Why does Boone start Gallo against a guy who throws high fastballs? As long as Gallo is on this team, he's going to get playing time. The Yankees have really had many teams the last twenty-odd years with two solid outfielders and a weak sister. Now, we just have Judge. It used to be left field that was always the problem - usually the lack offensive production. Now, it's wherever Gallo and then Hicks is playing. I have yet to buy into the Hicks has knocked off the rust narrative. |
