Once again, I got home just in time for part of the end of the Yankee ninth inning bats. When I saw runners on first and third on my phone, I changed the TV channel and got to see Sanchez nail his base-clearing double. At least there was hope and we forced them to use Kimbrel on a day when they thought they were going to be able to let him rest...Get 'em next time, boys...

I'm not ready to give up on Sonny yet, but he definitely needs to learn to trust his stuff and not throw 20+ pitches every inning if he's going to amount to anything. Help Larry R.! Help!!! Every time he pitches, I hear Rodney Dangerfield's voice, "Hey, come on, while we're young!" Throw the damn ball already. |

I was an ugly kid. After the doctor cut the cord, he hung himself.
What a childhood I had. Once, my ol' man gave me a bat. The first day I played with it, it flew away.
I was an ugly kid. Once, I worked in a pet store. People kept asking how big I'd get.
My old man never liked me. He used to give me my allowance in traveler's checks.
I tell ya, my wife is a lousy cook. After dinner, I don't brush my teeth. I count them.
And my wife likes to talk during sex. The other night, she called me from a hotel room...

Most of the time, when I watch the game I'm engrossed in it on the 65" flat screen in the living room. The table top is in a spare bedroom that I used to call my office, but the truth is that I don't really need an office now, so it's now just called the computer room. To be honest, I really never posted a lot on game threads because I engross myself in the game. I'll see if I can motivate myself to split my attention. That may seem odd, but when I'm watching I don't like to miss a single play, though sometimes I will sneak outside to water plants or some such and will miss a half inning or so, even two or three innings if we've fallen way behind... Of course at other times I'm hosting a party with my city trash collector's association...or the select man in the area... (: |

I don't get it. There isn't any game thread on the old site any more. I would have thought we would have at least seen the return of the old (very...no...extremely...no...very, very, extremely, damned near to hypnotic to the point of narcolepsy) noetsi monologue game threads, but NOTHING...

Alright well, it was worth a shot. We need more posters in the game threads. I'm gonna send out an email asking people to come back here and post in the game threads. I may send out individual emails to certain posters. I would have done it today but tomorrow's game and maybe even Sunday's may be rained out so I will wait until Monday to beg everyone to come back.
