So any pitchers are terrible fielders. True, but 60 feet away is a short reaction time, plus they usually aren’t landing in a position to field. I give credit to the ones that CAN field under those circumstances. It’s usually the little skinny guys that do well, it seems… |

The 1998 Yankees were 59-20 after 79 games. In fact they ran out to a 67-21 record before another loss. Today, the Yankees are 58-21.

Saw bits and pieces of these two games on the dots. Very encouraging that Cole and Nestor had good outings. Carpenter needs more playing time!

The 1998 Yankees were 59-20 after 79 games. In fact they ran out to a 67-21 record before another loss. Today, the Yankees are 58-21. We'll have time to catch the 1998 Yankees pace in September where they went 16-11.  |

Saw bits and pieces of these two games on the dots. Very encouraging that Cole and Nestor had good outings. Carpenter needs more playing time! I missed every single inning of both games. Took a short road trip to visit my old college roommate, who just took a new job and domicile a little over an hour away. We spent the afternoon at the Revolver Brewery listening to live music and catching up. Beer of any kind is one of my last choices for a beverage, but I've always been a social drinker and one of those "when in Rome" types, so I joined him glass for glass, sampling most of the varieties on tap. He is a beer enthusiast, and I rarely imbibe, though when I do it is usually a cocktail, rather than an ale, lager, or bitter. On the drive, I attempted to tune in to watch the game on my phone, but I have forgotten my username and password.  Yes, please play Carpenter at DH and put Stanton in right field, where he prefers to play. Stanton has said that playing the field makes his body feel better, less stiff and more athletic. And, he hits better when he's playing the field. |
