It's a shame Kenny is retiring this year, I enjoy hearing him call games. He's got a great voice, and he's a really good guy. A Yankee friend of mine (in his late 70s) and his wife were in a hotel elevator with him during a Yankee series (we always tried to stay in the same hotel as the players on the road). He said Singleton couldn't have been kinder. They spoke about baseball, the Orioles with Earl Weaver, the series, what they were doing between games, etc. Just a real, down to earth, pleasant man. I'll miss him. |

I'll miss him. I believe it. He just has that real soothing voice. I hope he enjoys his retirement - he seems like an excellent guy. You would never know the guy is 70 years old if you just heard him on tv. |
