Not to pry, but did two people ever use the two toilets at the same time? Waaaaaaay too often. My father would especially get angry if I locked the door for my constitutional. He'd curse me, unlock the door, and call me "prissy." It's why to this day, I love water closets in homes, where there is no room for more than one person, and probably why I respect others' privacy to a nearly oblivious degree. My older brother would also get angry at me for wanting bathroom privacy. He was apt to fling the door open when I was bathing, too. He acted like he couldn’t understand what modesty or personal space were at all. I still prefer a private venue at toilet myself… |

Old men had no compunction about walking right up while you were helplessly in a catcher's crouch just to discuss the next forty-acre cut to go to next. Like you were just sitting in an Adirondack chair. |
