I keep forgetting that when we trade for someone or call up a minor leaguer, they're required to go 0-14 or 0-16 before we can see what they got.

Still in Yankee country. I'll check in when I can. Will you visit the childhood home of Brad Ausmus? I had to look him up. He's from New Haven, which isn't really that close to where we will be, which is in NW CT just below the Berkshires. Near as I can tell, the most famous person from Litchfield is Harriet Beecher Stowe of "Uncle Tom's Cabin" fame. Ted Knight was born nearby. Paul Newman used to race his cars at Lime Park, about 20 minutes away. We'll pay homage there. William Buckley was from Sharon, not too far away. |
