I think he's going to be the real deal. We can play him almost anywhere, he has power, can hit from both sides, has swagger, doesn't seem scared of the big moment, and looks the part. Strap in, everyone, the kid is here to stay! I think he's going to make the post season roster even if the team is completely healthy. His versatility is a huge bonus. I'd be upset if he wasn't. I get that Bader sort of has to due to the trade (if he's healthy), but leaving the kid off the roster would speak volumes about Cashman and Boone. Even if Bader is in center, Judge in right, etc. the kid can still fit in somewhere. I think we need to stuff any feelings in a sack and say, sorry Hicks ... it is what it is. Enjoy your early off-season.

No reason Marwin should make the roster over him that's for sure.

Very well. He played on a Phillies championship team and had a great Afro. Luzinski, Maddox and McBride. The starting Of for those great Phillies teams from my childhood day. In '77 & '78 The Yanks, Royals, Phils and Dodgers were the only 4 teams to make the playoffs. That 1977 team had Mike Schmidt trailing all other starters in batting average, hitting .274. A balanced lineup without a weak spot anywhere.

I get Willie Mays was one of the all time greats, but should his number really be retired by the Mets? It's the Mets.

They're just keeping him around to trade him in the offseason with some money attached probably.

Do you think Kamara is worth a gamble since they are saying he probably won't be suspended this year?

They were a great team but just couldn't get past the Dodgers, so they signed Pete Rose in 79 and finally got their WS title in 80.

Trivia: Ricky Henderson is 1 of 2 players to reach 20 HR and 80 SB in a season, who is the other?

Trivia - Rickey Henderson is one of two players to hit 20+ Hr's and steal 80+ bases in the same season. Who was the other?
I'm guessing Tim Raines.
