Thats why it was important to win yesterday... Judge's greatness masks how mediocre the rest of the lineup is. It's full of the guys Cashman loves, low batting averages, lots of walks and strikeouts with an occasional HR's. |

Yea Stanton and Rizzo arent 100% back from injuries you can tell and once you get past like the 5th spot in the lineup you get black holes. The loss of Carpenter is pretty big as well. |

I don't think it works that way Chi. You have to subject yourself to Beltran's auditory torture in order to gain the team winning benefit.  |

So basically this team is weird. One minute they look great the next they look like a last place team, however, fact remains they still lead the AL in R, HR (Majors lead), RBI, BB (Majors lead), OBP, 2nd in SLG, OPS, and honestly no one is really close to them in most of those categories in the AL. They have the best record in baseball against over 500 teams with 41 of their 78 wins coming against teams over .500. They just had a 5 game winning streak that included wins over 3 very good pitchers. They are also 33-30 on the road so they are likely going to have 40 + wins on the road which is also good.
So that makes me think they would be ok in a playoff series? This team is so hard to read sometimes.
