Judge is amazing. All this garbage around and just continues to mash. Sports media trying to push Ohtani. They hate to give MVP to a Yankee. He'll probably have to hit 62 or more to get it. It's a joke. What Ohtani does is extraordinary but how valuable is it? He pitches once a week and is a DH the rest of the time. Add to that he hasn't played a game that means anything to the Angels since May.

I had to check -- in the past 50 years, the Yankees have won 11 pennants yet only four MVPs -- Munson in 76, Mattingly in 85 and A-Rod twice (05 and 07.) None for the six pennants between 96-03. Texas has won two pennants in that span but has six MVPs.

Judge needs three more doubles to break his single season high of 24, which he has done twice.

Where would they be without Ohtani? Without Judge I doubt the Yankees would make the post-season. They certainly would not be in first place.

Plus also Judges avg and OPS are both way higher. Thats the thing with Ohtani for me if he had to play high pressure games daily I think his numbers would suffer more.

Texas has won two pennants in that span but has six MVPs. When Ivan Rodriguez won the MVP in 1999, he had a WAR of 6.4. Derek Jeter led all AL position players with an 8.0 WAR. Roberto Alomar was next at 7.4. Manny Ramirez at 7.3.

Justin Morneau Harmon Killebrew Jeter should have won that year instead of Morneau. It still annoys me that Jeter never won an MVP.

Jeter should have won that year instead of Morneau. It still annoys me that Jeter never won an MVP. It was ridiculous, and I believe a deliberate snub of the Yankees by Yankee-hating voters, of which there are many. Clearly Jeter earned at least one MVP, and probably several more. Most important player on what was almost annually the best team in the AL.
