Anything messing with your central nervous system is a roll of the dice for unintended consequences. When my wife had a spinal tap after being diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, the physician told us that in approximately one percent of the cases, a severe and debilitating headache can occur. Of course, Sarah was that one percent. She had to lay prone for several days. Even sitting up would lead to unmanageable pain. So, I put her in a room in Santa Barbara at Fess Parker's that over looked the ocean from her bed and fed her by hand because she had to lay flat as possible. |
