It's nice seeing Jack Chesbro up on the strikeout graphic. A hardcore spitballer. Of course he probably pitched 450 innings to get those Ks. But they were really tough to come by in 1903 with batters choking up halfway up the bat and just trying to make contact. In Chesbro’s 41-win season, he had a walk off steal of home plate, or might have had to settle for a tie for most wins in a season at 40… |

Fine then give me Cabrera, Judge, Stanton with Carpenter at DH. Wow! That was going to be my next question. Stanton or Carpenter. Sorry I dropped out of the elimination contest, but we had some (well done) filet Mignon ready. It was steak or decide on reserve outfielders. The steak won. It was very good… Ruthie has become so spoiled with the air fryer, but it’s 61!!! Judge got it!!! … |
