Gotta be happy for him. Tyler Wade had an opportunity to hold him back a while longer and didn't cash in, so come on up, Gleyber...
So, who do we lose to fit him on the roster? Does Wade go down? Do we dump...somebody for good???

Best guess may be: Tyler Austin suspension starts, making room for Torres. This will delay the decision for five days...
Sort of hoping we decide to live without Walker...When Austin comes back, Walker can be jettisoned, especially since Bird should be getting close by then, too...

I'm thinking Wade will get sent down so he can get some consistent playing time.

I'm thinking Wade will get send so he can get some consistent playing time. yeah, that's what makes sense......the kid is obviously better than he has shown at the ML level, based on what the Yankees think of him.....I hope he goes on to have a good career, even if not with the Yanks..... I think Austin has shown enough that he stays with the Yankees when Bird gets back.....Walker has given us much less with the bat then I expected......there will be no spot for Walker.....

Walker eventually takes a hike. Wade probably goes down until he starts hitting again. I think he's currently in an 0-20 slump. Austin's appeal decision may affect decisions temporarily.

then there is this.......I mentioned to my wife that the Yankees were calling up Gleyber Torres.....she asked "what kind of a name is Gleyber?".....I replied he was a Lithuanian national who was a natural, a great baseball player..........ahh, the fun of teasing sometimes......

The Utah version of Siddhartha Finch, right??? The Yankees have been secretly working out young Gleyber Torres at a secret location at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, where tourists have been reporting loud, wooden sounding thumps and cracks, then finding baseballs with the covers pulverized that were apparently hit over the remote and seldom visited north rim of the canyon...

So, does the .400 hitting Toe go back to the bench? Bad timing for him I guess.

We could use him like Bill Veeck used Eddie Gaedel, as a midget pinch-hitter, not allowed to swing the bat. Can you imagine Torreyes being told not to swing the bat? LOL, he'd have a heart-attack at the plate...
