With a win today, the Yankees have the opportunity to be two games above .500 for the first time since April 4, as well as match their season-best win streak of two games, which they have accomplished three times this season. Yep, they've essentially been the definition of mediocre thus far. Let's hope Gleybar Torres marks the beginning of a long winning streak.

I just saw a tweet that read today is the first time since 1989 that the no players 30 or over are in the line up.

The Yankees have scored more than 5 runs 9 times this season. They have also scored less than 5 runs 9 times this season. The have scored exactly 5 runs once this season.
At 5.68 runs per game, they trail only Boston (6.15) and Toronto (5.75) in the American League. There is no way Boston continues with a .828 OPS as a team. They will come back to the pack.

As long as he keeps taking a million pitches and upping the starting pitchers pitch count!

Mookie and Hanley are playing way over their heads.

Has anyone noticed that Gardner's throws lately have been uncharacteristically off line and off plane (lots of skips to the relay man)? Shoulder problem?

I just realized that you can see in the profile tab when someone quotes you. I actually mentioned the other day on the scout forum that it would be a nice feature to have.

To do that, he'd have to accept finishing up as the fourth OF, but I think he'd do that to stay...I could be wrong, but that's the way I read the man...His value is truly much greater than the stats, especially now with all the kids learning from his example... I guess if he chooses to be an Ichiro and play forever, he's doomed to having to move on. If he chooses to retire at a young-ish age, who knows? Maybe he moves straight from playing for the Yankees to coaching for them???

I think this is correct...this shall be the first time Jaime Garcia has ever faced the New York Yankees.
