I guess I must be Stupid and/or Old-Fashion and/or from a Different Planet, for I do get WHY the damn excitement over Ball Bat Speed???!!!
Do we Score more runs the faster the ball is traveling???
I get excited when WE get on Base, Score a Run WIN A GAME, etc. etc. etc. Who gives a shit if the ball leaves the bat at 106mph or 120mph if it turns out to be an out???
If it is a Home Run HUGE BRAVO but I do not give a crap about how fast the ball was traveling--all I care about is that the Ball traveled over the Wall/Fence.
I must be getting too old...you all have a nice Sunday.
Harder hit balls have a higher probably of landing for hits or extra bases. Its a statistical fact. Also, DJ hitting the ball hard means the toe is not affecting his swing like it did last season, a good sign for his season. OK!!! But Tequila still doesn't care about ball speed from bat...go figure.

It’s hard not to be when you can throw 99, but the hitters know he likes to go to it, and it doesn’t have a ton of movement. I mean, I think I could hit it if he only threw 60 MPH… 🤓 |

Sevy forced to work a bit in the 4th. Pitch clock violation on Meadows allowed ball four, but it looked like a bad call. The smash that ate Volpe up. But he works out of it, zings a 98 MPH heater to close out his day with his 9th K…
