I'm seeing at least five different pitches from Brito:
95-97 mph 4-seam fastball
92 mph 2-seam fastball
89 mph change up
80 mph curve ball
82 mph slider

Command of that change up is the difference between his first start and this one.

Okay, I also noticed a cutter that inning. Now, I wondering if the two-seamer I saw is really his change up. He's either got five or six pitches. The slider is the least developed to me. It's good to have it, but it's easy to lay off. In his first start, he was throwing that change up for a strike, as well as finishing off the plate. He's not getting enough strikes in the zone with it tonight. |

OK, I flipped the Padres/Braves game on and our old buddy, Odor was hitting for San Diego. He's hitting .111. I know Joey tote it up for a couple games in Minny, but don’t know what he’s done since… |
