Just reported a little soreness today after throwing… something to monitor, but it may be meaningless. Knowing the Yankees, they could back him up a month “just in case”… |

I never slid head first on any base. As a kid, I saw Lou Brock and then always utilized the pop-up slide. I did both, depending on the situation. If there was a throw from the catcher, I wanted to be able to pop up and go. The shorter throws like going first to second and the SS or 3B I would go on head first… |
