Yeah, that 1998 team was great, but they couldn't really compete in today's game with the bigger, stronger, and faster athletes and all the training and defensive metrics.  |

So far the highlight of this game has been the replay of the Tino -- Benitez brawl. Great to Graeme Lloyd wailing on some Oriole. Tino was not the same for at least a month or so after that pitch. Benitez was a thug. I watched that game at my friend Joe Simas' house. Great memory Rizz. And I concur on Benitez. Remember he was briefly with the Yankees later. In fact a lot of Yankee connections on that 98 Baltimore staff -- Mussina, Key, Kamieniecki, some others I am not recalling. |
