Anemic bats. No grinding, no fouling off pitch after pitch. I didn’t get a chance to do my pre-series 🔑 🔑 keys to the game, but the #1 🔑 was that the RS starters can be and must be beaten. The bullpen is not grade A meat 🥩 either, but you have to score the runs against those BOSOX starters… |

Just getting in from wasting a Saturday. My sister wanted to borrow my Sequoia to take the last Uhaul trailer from Dallas to Lafayette, Louisiana. "Of course," I say. Unfortunately, the battery was dead, since I have not really driven it much since it was repaired from the gasoline thief who drilled a hole in the gas tank, which forced me to buy a car while waiting for six weeks for a new tank from Toyota to arrive by rail. So, my sister arrives and the truck won't start. No problem, I decided to buy and employ a battery charger, while we went to lunch. Back from lunch, still won't start. Trip to AutoZone, and I buy a new battery - 250 bucks. Get it back to my garage, and I realize the kid gave me the wrong battery. The positive post was on the wrong side. "Can't you just flip the battery around?" asks my sister. "Uh, no, sister-woman, you cannot." Back to AutoZone for the right battery, then took the truck through a carwash. Somehow, my lending my truck to my sister just cost me $350. I was reading a book, relaxed in my bed when she called. And, I have missed half of the game. Oh, well. I do love my sister, even if she does not understand that the two sides of a battery are color coded red and black for a reason.  Good man!  |
