Ruthie and I saw two juvenile foxes at the mouth of their den a couple days ago, so now I know where a den is and can observe. It’s about 5 miles from the house, but on the way to Alamosa. Animals do such clever things. The den is dug out under the road, which means the have heat in the house from the asphalt…🤓 Few quiet evenings, though. I was going to say -- foxes in the throes of nocturnal passion make the most blood-curdling screams you will ever hear. |

Cole matching Verlander, who seldom seems to throw a clunker against us. You really have to be off your game to throw a clunker against this line-up. I'm not sure how Sherzer did it. |

Verlander getting stronger as the game goes on. The best power pitchers always seem to do so. The kid at LSU Paul Skenes (was at Air Force for two years) is much the same, hitting 102 on his final pitch against Tulane in the ninth for a complete game shutout. Something like 122 pitches. He is going to be a good one. |
