Rangers about to put this one away early as our Ace doesn't have it.

There is an infinite chasm between Gleyber Torres and whoever is the second stupidest player in baseball. And why should he change? There are no consequences for him, so the Yankees are okay with it. Meanwhile, Tampa Bay benches their all-world shortstop Wander Franco for "not being a good teammate." Accountability differences are part of culture.

I don’t think Gleyber was in a good position to apply that tag…

And Boston benched Verdugo for not going all out. Those things would never happen on the Yankees. It's part of what makes them so painful to watch. When they don't give a damn, it makes it harder for the fans, despite what Hal thinks.

Maybe the offense can pick up Cole for a change? Too much to ask?

A play like that (Gleyber’s base-running mistake) just killed what seemed to be a shift in the early momentum. This just feels like a loss, and a bad one. I have no faith we’re going to come back from 3-0…I hope I’m wrong and I hope Gleyber hits a couple two run bombs to redeem himself…

Hank Steinbrenner came off as a doofus, but had he lived, his father's passion that he exhibited would have been a welcome balance to this faith-based accountability.

Bauers showing impressive opposite field power. Too bad Stanton is too much of a stiff to score from first.

Who’s gonna blow it for us? What? Two runs? In the same inning?!…

I would agree with you, but Sanchez is still active in San Diego… Sanchez is a slug, but I don't think he makes nearly as many elementary little league level mistakes as Gleyber Torres. I don't think I've ever seen a player with a lower baseball IQ than Gleyber. The Phillies used to have a player named Jeff Stone who was a barely functioning moron, but even he didn't pull the garbage Torres does on a daily basis.
