I'm glad they showed that picture of Mantle's HR. The ball bounced back to the infield after hitting the facade. Every sports page in the country ran that photo.

For all the progress the Yankees have made in the last couple weeks winning series from Seattle and Texas and the first two in this series the losses have been concerning. While the Texas series they could have swept its def a bit concerning they had quite a few of these games where they were down huge early such as this one the 15 run one in Boston and the 11 run one in St. Louis.
They had a very real shot to take 3 games this series and what I don't understand is why not take those chances and not give these half lineups? Bad defensive alignments? Keeping the pitcher in when they obv have nothing and wait till it's 12-0 to bring in the guy with the fresh arm from aaa when your starter had 60 pitches but was fortunate for it to only be 1-0 after 2 innings?
Like it just makes no sense to me I get Judge is out but the way this team is constructed sometimes they act like they are 20 games out of playoff spot with no hope to gain ground when they've pretty much matched all the teams above them record for the last month.
