Not the problem but on a different note, as Volpe started to hit, Boone kept raising him in the batting order and he kept hitting worse.
Why hurt the kids confidence as he was starting to hit well later in the order?

Not really seeing much of a diff between batting high or low either other than the small 6 game sample size of batting 8th.  If DJ isn't going to hit I think Volpe leading off is a lot better if he is going to keep up the contact he has been having lately |
