No Stanton in the starting lineup could be interesting at some point....it seems that Walker often comes up in critical situations where the Yankees need a big hit, and he fails....good place for a pinch-hitter...........

Walker has a career track record, and has been hitting the ball more crisply lately. That said, there is a case for all of the hitters below him in the line up to be batting ahead of him...The only thing Walker has on any of them is that he's a switch-hitter. Of course, hitting is the most important aspect. If you make outs from both sides of the plate, it matters little where you were standing when you swung the bat...
I would say that there is a good chance Mr. Stanton will make a brief appearance today, unless the game is a laugher...

They seem determined to give Walker every chance to succeed...he once was a good hitter, but there is a reason he was unsigned until late....I don't see how Walker can survive with the Yanks when both Bird and Drury come back....the numbers are just not there, from what I can see.......
The strategy may be to hope Walker looks good enough that some other club may trade something of value for him....surely they would not cut Tyler Austin and keep Walker, would they?

If Walker hits even a little better, Austin's lack of defensive versatility could force a move, especially if Bird is expected to return.

Stanton needs another chance to clear his head. Judge, too. Time for him to go on a homer tear.

Walker pulls the ball even with only one fielder on the left side of the diamond.
