From a statistical standpoint, part of baseball is so incidental. .400, .300, .200, 20 HR, 30… and on. One thing we’ve lost is the near-assurance that somebody, or somebodies would win 20 games just about every season. I miss that…

Schmidt screamed "F#@& no!" into his glove before Boone takes the ball. Schmidt had thrown 64 pitches through 5 and 2/3rds. Should we even have starters anymore? Maybe establish a rule that a pitcher can only throw one inning, so a team must use nine pitchers each game. We can expand the rosters to accommodate 18 pitchers. Nine available for each game. And they wonder why the tired bullpen has faltered recently. You can't have the starters only throwing 64 pitches every night. Boone is a clown. He's a joke and it's bring reason this team has a hard time developing starting pitchers. |
