This can't be a real quote, right? I could see this quote about Friday they literally got robbed a couple hits, but they had I believe 12 baserunners tonight even down 9-3 PLENTY of chances it's your own fault.

Didn't see the game, how is Severino looking? I know he is getting hit but also coming back from injury (again and again and again...)
ps - The post above mine, LOL. "Outside of the strikeouts..." 18 of 27 outs. Boone should go into sales. (Maybe Yankee sales)

Gloria and I are on a mini road trip and I had planned on watching the game in our room, but once they got down by 6, I decided to head to my happy place. The hotel bar. A couple old fashioneds and a beer, I didn't care anymore. This team is so depressing to watch and I don't see it changing anytime soon.

I enjoy other people's travels almost as much as I do my own. A few old fashioneds help to smooth over many of life's contretemps. And yeah, no better place than a hotel bar. Nice hotels in general are an essential part of The Good Life. I concur that this has not been an enjoyable team to watch. They may yet squeeze into a post-season spot, but it’s been a painful process. I haven't decided yet if this is the 2013 team or the 1965 team, but it’s in there somewhere.

Hilarious Kaybli. I've thought many times that Boone must have studied Baghdad Bob's methods for making ridiculous statements. Every day in every way things are getting better.

I really don't blame Boone for this mess. To me it is on Steinbrenner and Cashman. But what an unaware statement to make. That's like the Captain of the Titanic saying except for that Iceberg it was a great voyage.(no dis-repect intended to those that lost loved ones).

At least he has the ability to correctly assess the situation.

Classic....Boone is idiot, he is not smart, he says the dumbest shyt. I wonder if he listen and recognizes what he is saying.

If not, you're in the top three. At least, he's not clueless like Sandwich, not understanding how he was beaten out for the starting catcher in two different post-seasons.

We're cruising around New England for a few days. Stayed in Norwich, VT on Sunday, and Concord, NH last night. Headed to Providence, RI today. Best part of the trip so far is finding a local establishment to eat and drink in. Last night we walked to a brewery that turned out to be closed, so we decided to check the place next door. It was fabulous. Had a beer from the local brewery and then saw this on the drink specials. Woodford Reserve Manhattan, Carpano Antica Vermouth, Woodord cherry bitters and a Luxardo cherry. Thought of you pipps right away. It was great. One of the best cocktails I ever had and got to top it off with delicious pork belly tacos. Oh, we've looked at a bunch of stuff too, but that ain't my department.

Oh, we've looked at a bunch of stuff too, but that ain't my department. That’s a great journey for sure. That was one high-end Manhattan -- I keep some Carpano Antica vermouth around for special occasions -- it costs almost as much as the bourbon. You can't go wrong with Woodford Reserve. And Luxardo cherries -- now you're in fifth gear. I'm sure you know Luxardo Maraschino Liqueur, an essential ingredient in two of my favorite cocktails from the 1920s, the Aviation and the Last Word. I am wondering if you visited the Eagle Tavern in Concord. And hopefully Gloria dragged you to the Franklin Pierce home. Our only 14th President. And the only President ever to keep his Cabinet intact for an entire term. We love Providence. We used to visit now and then when we lived in Boston, and I had a few business meetings there. I was going to recommend Joe Marzilli's Old Canteen for its great bar and restaurant, but I see they are only open Thursday through Monday. Mill's Tavern was another place I conducted business. Federal Hill is a very cool Italian district -- or at least it was 20 years ago -- and Wayland and College Hill near Brown University are pleasant neighborhoods. Is Newport on the itinerary? Not everyone's cup of Chai, but it’s very scenic and I'm guessing you've been. Definitely a place your wife should see. Worth it just for the Cliff Walk, the marina and the Tennis Hall of Fame. Happy Travels and tell us more when you can.
