The Rays throw us a bone by making two outs on the bases. The Rays are no juggernaut. Without that 13-0 start to the season, they'd be bunched up with us and Boston. A polite way to say it would be that the Rays batters have “leveled off”. They had that big HR spurt to start the year, but now their numbers are about what you might expect… |

This Brito start was so rushed I wonder if he even had time to go over a Tampa scouting report. I never heard of a player sitting out with a sore armpit. Too much deodorant? And which armpit? It’s odd to see them using such a non-medical term as “armpit” instead of Axillary. It’s like referring to certain groin injuries as “on the IL because he was nailed in the balls… |
