Maybe this explains the strangeness of Monday night and Brito starting instead of German.

Maybe this explains the strangeness of Monday night and Brito starting instead of German. You think maybe they waited until he sobered up before putting him in the game? Would at least explain the weird explanation Boone gave, but I doubt they'd have used him if he had been drinking. Sounds like he might have tied one on yesterday, though.

Maybe the soreness was from opening non-twist-off long necks with his armpit.

Now reading there was a issue yesterday and he voluntarily admitted himself. So basically the entire ARMPIT fiasco was a coverup.
Injury prone and inconsistent. CHECK Beat his girlfriend and was suspended for Playoff run. CHECK Sticky Stuff twice this season? CHECK some issue this week and now checked into rehab as drunk. CHECK Not a Yankee next season. CHECK

Details emerge of Yankees’ Domingo German incident
The incident that led to the Yankees placing pitcher Domingo German on the restricted list on Wednesday occurred at Yankee Stadium and was not a domestic situation, clubhouse sources say. On Tuesday evening of this week, German grew belligerent while in the clubhouse at Yankee Stadium, though there is no word of an altercation with a teammate or other individuals. Witnesses determined that German was under the influence of alcohol and did not appear in control of his emotions. Several Yankees, including GM Brian Cashman, manager Aaron Boone and ace Gerrit Cole, appeared visibly shaken when asked about German on Wednesday. German’s behavior on Tuesday was not connected to the armpit injury that led the Yankees to scratch him from Monday’s start, then insert him into the game in the fifth inning, sources said.

I hope we can as find a new home for German over the winter. Too much drama. His domestic situation left the team without him for post season play. He returns, all cleaned up, new number, fresh start. He pitched inconsistently, sometimes nearly invincible, others like his head is in the clouds. Then this… They say it was no “domestic incident”, which I would presume simply means he did not become physically violent. But if he was belligerent (to what extent undefined) I would assume the potential for violence may have been involved.
For the team and the player, another fresh start would seem to be in order… another new number, a new team. Let’s put his face a on a milk carton. Even the perfect game has a sort of cloud over it…

From a perfect game to being out of the yankees probably in a few weeks. GS would have taken him back in a heartbeat, probably won't happen to this ownership group.

And both methods of operation are certainly acceptable. My personal opinion is that he deserves a fresh start and yet another chance. We’re all humans, and that’s why I think he should move on. He has team mates. His act had gone stale. Let him move on where he’ll only have whispers about his history and not direct witnesses… but do give him an opportunity. Steve Howe I think had eight times he was allowed to be reborn…

As a statistics based employee you know that. Garbage in, garbage out… 😂
