Wait. A 2-out hit with a risp? Do the new rules allow that?

Poor choice to run after hesitating for Volpe… Once you hesitate, it’s always too late…

I like your grandfather. That was the Jim Thorpe Olympics I believe. But seriously no reason not to pursue the things you want to do. My great uncle dropped out of college in 1918 because he heard rumors of a new gold strike in Alaska. There wasn't one, of course, but the adventure he had was far beyond anything he would have done in school. Tune up that flivver and hit the road! By all accounts, he was quite a guy. Made millions, lost them in The Depression, make them back again. His first wife, my great grandmother, had tuberculosis. On the way from Wisconsin to try the arid climate of Arizona, she died. With two toddlers in tow, my godmother and my grandfather, he laid her down in the back of the covered wagon, and drove back across the country to their home in Wisconsin. From a young man in a covered wagon, he lived to see Sputnik. He died in 1960 at 90 years old of food poisoning. Family histories are invariably interesting. We've had our share of adventurers too. Inspirational to me. Love that stuff.

Now that Rortvedt has started out slowly with the bat, Boone wants to play him to get him going… he acted like the guy didn’t exist at first…

Why can't our .170 hitters get 3 hits a game?
