Anyone see just a little bit of Joe Piscopo in Rortvedt? …

Bases loaded for Jake "Pick Off" Bauers. I think if Volpe had kept running that could have been a 2-run sac fly…

In the stands, The Skipper has really lost some weight since Gilligan's Island. Also, Papa Hemingway is holding court with two middle aged women. There's always someone famous at these games.

Anyone see just a little bit of Joe Piscopo in Rortvedt? … More than Eddie Murphy.

Papa Hemingway. 2 middle aged women. You certain that’s not Dome?… Since Alan Hale, Jr. Died in 1990, so I’m gambling he’s lost more than you can guess… 😂

I’m not trying to knock Roberts and his 31 HR, but when Larry Doby hit his 24, he had twice been the league HR leader with 32 a couple of times. The AL environment was a bit different, although Mantle was changing that…

Strange, but a thread that I read on FB today disintegrated into a discussion about Glligan’s Island. What a large slice of life that show remains. One posted mentioned that since the tour was only a three hour tour the particular Evinrude outboard would have been limite to about 41.5 miles in that time period. There are a lot of islands of the coast of CA, but probably not with palm trees… And likely with a lot more sea traffic… Sometimes people don’t understand that comedy is not meant to be a documentary…

IKF has become what DJ was supposed to be, albeit with more positional flexibility and speed. I hope he comes back in the same role. Excellent insurance just about anywhere, though 1B might be a reach at his height… a reach… get it?… 🤓

If Schmidt retains the lead this inning, I hope Boone lets him pitch on into the sixth. He can’t improve the third time through the line up if he doesn’t get a chance… and he’s a better pitcher now than when he compiled those numbers…

www.msn.com/en-us/sports/mlb/the-yankees-have-a-young-catcher-rotting-away-in-triple-a/ar-AA1eXF36?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=dc6c33d2ea4041049f87b62abb4f896d&ei=40The Yankees have a young catcher rotting away in Triple-A ...Carlos Narvaez: The Forgotten Slugger Carlos Narvaez, a 24-year-old slugger, is putting together a strong performance with Scranton/Wilkes-Barre this season. Narvaez’s Triple-A Performance Narvaez has been hitting .267 with a .393 OBP and a .442 slugging percentage across 51 games in Triple-A. His season includes eight homers, 24 RBIs, a 23.2% strikeout rate, a 16.1% walk rate, and 112 wRC+. Spring Training and MLB Opportunity During spring training with the Bombers, Narvaez showcased good at-bats, even hitting a grand slam. He seems to have found his bat with Scranton and appears ready for an MLB opportunity, but the Yankees have hesitated to give him the chance. Defensive Abilities Compared to Wells, Narvaez is a better defender behind the plate, allowing only one passed ball this year. His strong arm and solid framing skills promote his qualities as a potential MLB contributor. Looking Ahead to 2024: A Natural Successor? It is likely that the Yankees will offer Narvaez another opportunity during spring training in 2024. With Higgy’s potential exit, Narvaez may be the natural successor the Yankees need. The New York Yankees’ catcher dilemma requires strategic thinking and exploration of untapped potential. Carlos Narvaez is a name that should not be overlooked. His strong Triple-A performance, combined with solid defensive skills, makes him a promising candidate for the MLB. Higgy isn't a FA until 2025 Sorry for being a little late but congrats on 10,000 posts anthony! Head on over to this link for a couple of his photoshops:
