If you didn't see the injury thread Nestor is going on the IL with a left rotator cuff strain.
And guess what? I'm missing today's game because of a soccer match. That's right I'm hanging out with two friends who are into soccer and we will be watching Lionel Messi playing for Inter Miami vs Charlotte FC on TV. I'll have to watch the Yankees on the dots on my phone.

Gonna try to get some sleep and then head to Myrtle Beach. I will leave you all with. Wish we could give Stanton back to the Marlins.

The Yankees have a rookie LF at Scranton killing the ball and they give AB's to Cabrera instead.

I'm not saying this team is lighting the world on fire, because they are not, but on July 24th Seattle was 50-50 5.5 out, 5 days later July 29th they were 53-51 still 5.5 out since then they've gone 9-1 and made up 4 games and now are just 1.5 out. So I dunno how these people can call 5 games "out of the playoff hunt" when we just saw Seattle go from 5.5 to 1.5 in under 2 weeks.
Now obviously they need to stop with this win one lose one and need a similar run, but if the A's and Royals can win 7 in a row why not the Yankees? As I've said before they usually play well in Miami and Atlanta then follow it up with the Red Sox and nationals at home. 9-3 or 10-2 here would help a lot. Yes I know the Red Sox "killed them" earlier this season, but Judge wasn't playing and on top of that usually the rivalry swings both ways one team will dominate part of the season and then the other it switches back.

I don't know what to say about this one. You would think that the Yankees would not want to risk their biggest investment if there were a chance he would aggravate his injury. On the other hand, there is absolutely no reason to have confidence in the diagnoses of their medical staff.

Are you losing faith in our heroes to the degree that you would watch a soccer match between two franchises that most people have never heard of?

I mean I don't think we've heard anything where anyone has said it's killing him and he needs to sit? Also Stanton is 4 HR away from 400 now.

They aren't into baseball so I can't force them to watch the Yankees game.
Everyone knows I'm here on the game threads 90 percent of the time, more than anyone else by far. I've only missed games due to all these 40th birthday celebrations. And then the power went out one night.
FWIW I'll be around until 7:30 or so.

Just funnin with you Kaybli. Enjoy the game -- watching the Yankees this year has prepared you for low-scoring games.

I still don't understand the Garcia dfa if they saw Severino was this bad and knew if they had to use both Brito and Vasquez they would be short.
