Yeah The Martian crushed a HR but Wells had a nice solid hit. I have not seen anything to say not a great catcher either.

gonna miss the game as well. Equalizer 3 is out and I gotta check it out. You will submit to forum punishment. Kaybli is a tough disciplinarian… For me, you will pledge your continued support for Gardnerism through Volpe… #11 must live on until Volpe retires it… he is the second coming…

What a terrible time for technical difficulties. The Martian has landed!
Going the other way? I assumed he was straight…😂

I was just as impressed with Wells quality of AB to get that single… And add to the Martian… that was a nice oppo poke. Kid has talent!… I've seen enough. Starting CF next year. Most likely. I don’t see him letting the opportunity slip through his green little fingers with suction cups on them…

If we hold the lead, you won’t be disappointed. Wells showed up better than I expected behind the plate. Pereira hit a nasty double off the LCF fence. Perhaps seeing his ex mates hit well made him feel more confident… Still hasn't passed Peraza in average .132 to .133. But it’s a start… that may be all it takes. A boost in confidence…

I’m in a similar boat, having dinner with a friend in Fort Worth. I’ll watch the replay later. If we hold the lead, you won’t be disappointed. Wells showed up better than I expected behind the plate. Pereira hit a nasty double off the LCF fence. Perhaps seeing his ex mates hit well made him feel more confident… People forget just how bad Sandwich was as a backstop. Wells may not be Trevino with the glove, but he doesn't need to be. Johnny Bench had a great philosophy defensively: "Catch every ball." Start there, know your pitchers and the opposing batters, and be death to pop ups (like Posada), and that is the start of a career behind the plate for a player that can hit.

The commentary mentions his improved arm strength as well. Had been throwing weighted balls to improve… is said to be a good framer and blocker, two skills Sanchez never had. In addition, arm strength is everything. Sanchez had a howitzer, but his clumsy footwork made for a slow release and in accuracy…

I think I may have had too many beverages at dinner. At any rate, I went back and edited. Much better now.

DJLM and his power boost have me feeling a lot better about the infield next year. If we go young and someone stumbles or if Rizzo doesn’t make it back all the way, we have a great backup plan.
If everything is good without him in a regular spot we have the pleasant problem of a super utility guy that we need to find rest for… and with Boone’s likely return, he’ll be needed enough…

Wells joins the Yankees DP club. He's not too slow for a catcher shockingly. Bad luck, that ball has hit hard.

We shall be behind the plate together. I don’t intend to get behind the plate to edit this behind the plate, either. Coming to you from here behind the plate… don’t fret the small stuff… it can put you behind the… all right. I’ll stop now… 🤓

With the way DJ was struggling, I started to think he had succumbed to Father Time. Now, it seems the Yankees just had no one to help any hitters in a coaching capacity. Behind the plate. Thought I'd add that since it was stuck in my head. Trying to exhaust that thought and move on to other words and phrases.

The place the fat kids always played…
