I don’t mind sharing my health issues in the hope that perhaps others may learn something that may help them or someone they care for, and I’ve noticed several more posters that have been sharing.
If a health issue is in the BS thread, that seems a bit undignified for the subject. If they crop up anywhere else we can simply transfer them here.

Starting first, here I am, up at 2:41. Having had a crappy experience with Trazadone as a potential sleep aid at 100 mg last night, I cut the pill in half tonight.
Not drunken feeling or restless legs like last night. Big by this time last night I was sound asleep. But I also slept about 13 hours or so, awakening at 2:30 PM.
I’m not taking more tonight, but tomorrow night I’m going to take 3/4 of a tablet 75 mg and see what happens.
The bummer about getting of Zolpidem (generic Ambien) is that it was working great for me. Now I have to Guinea pig my way to a solution.
It stinks…

Why did you go off the ambien if it was working for you? Doctor said that recent studies show that it can affect brain function is senior citizens… He didn’t say he wouldn’t prescribe it, but made it plain that he doesn’t like to… This here brain thingy is about all I’ve got… it’s not all that bad, if only it would shut the hell up so I could sleep… 🤓

I also want to stress that anyone that prefers to keep their health private has that right, and I’ll understand if you don’t share. (You selfish jerk).. 😂

Sorry to hear about your sleep problems. I remember taking Ambien a couple times and had such a hard time waking up, I didn't take it anymore. I also felt hungover when in the morning. Oh wait, that might have been the bourbon.

I suppose it’s official. I didn’t sleep a wink and it’s 5:19AM. I’m going to get up and do some house cleaning…
There is bit of extra stress on me at this time because we’vefound that Ruthie is not getting the proper amount of oxygen. She’s all right sitting down, but her oxygen drops below the lowest allowable threshold of 88. Usually about 85, but occasionally as low as 81. She had had an oxygen problem for several months when sleeping so, has oxygen on at night. I monitor her when she’s asleep and she tends to maintain 90-93.
She wants to remain where we are, but I’ve been researching homes about an hour away and she’s agreed to go look at them. Honestly, I really like it here too, but this issue will only get worse with age. The other location would be in the same area we had hoped to build the bermed house previously and is at about 6,200 feet, a drop of 1400 feet. According to charts that reveal the amount of oxygen at various elevations that would give her about a 20% increase.
The only other alternatives we would have would be much more difficult and expensive. That would be moving to One of several different states north where we could get our preferred climate along with lower elevation. The only benefit to that is that we’d be closer to Ruthie’s sister, a brother and several nieces and nephews. Not super close, but close enough to visit a time or three a year. So… Idaho, Montana. Possibly WY…
So expensive to move that far…

Sorry to hear about your sleep problems. I remember taking Ambien a couple times and had such a hard time waking up, I didn't take it anymore. I also felt hungover when in the morning. Oh wait, that might have been the bourbon. Lol. I couldn’t handle the full 10 mg dose of Ambien, so I reduced to 5 mg and it worked well. I did tend to wake up a bit earlier sometimes though… Or was that to pee?😂

I realize this can be read in several different ways, which is why I will not clarify - I like that better.

Then I get out of bed at 8:00 AM… 🤓

Sleep, precious sleep. I took 7.5 mg of Trazadone last night. I experienced the drunken feeling, but not as long, nor as intense. I went to bed once that settled down a bit around 11:15, but I was tossing and turning, and my sinuses were such that I could barely breathe. The fluid running down the back of my throat felt like it might strangle me, so I got back up about an hour later.
By one o’clock with a sugary snack I shouldn’t have eaten in my belly, and my head cleared from sitting up, I slid back into bed and reluctantly set my alarm for 6:30 AM because of our company. I slept very well for about 4.5 hours.
Now she’s gone. Ruthie went back to bed, and I’m going to follow her. I feel pretty good, but I would have definitely slept more if I had been able to…

I've been having trouble breathing at night because of first covid, now allergies mixed in with acid reflux, I have to sleep sitting up. Fortunately, I own a great recliner.
