Sleep, precious sleep. I took 7.5 mg of Trazadone last night. I experienced the drunken feeling, but not as long, nor as intense. I went to bed once that settled down a bit around 11:15, but I was tossing and turning, and my sinuses were such that I could barely breathe. The fluid running down the back of my throat felt like it might strangle me, so I got back up about an hour later. By one o’clock with a sugary snack I shouldn’t have eaten in my belly, and my head cleared from sitting up, I slid back into bed and reluctantly set my alarm for 6:30 AM because of our company. I slept very well for about 4.5 hours. Now she’s gone. Ruthie went back to bed, and I’m going to follow her. I feel pretty good, but I would have definitely slept more if I had been able to… Makes for a long night. I've been having trouble breathing at night because of first covid, now allergies mixed in with acid reflux, I have to sleep sitting up. Fortunately, I own a great recliner. Hope you feel better and get some good sleep, desousa!

At least I don't have one those brains that won't shut down like Gloria. She can have problems sleeping.

Have a similar issue, desousa. Sleep with a CPAP machine, but sometimes drainage feels like it's choking me so I also need to sleep in a recliner more upright. Happens several times a week. Annoying at best.

It seems like most of HeAmyHa has trouble sleeping - including me. Common denominator? We're all Yankee fans. This is Cashman's fault. I think we'd all sleep better had he any idea to craft a balanced lineup that can take advantage of Yankee Stadium, mixing athleticism and bat-to-ball skills with power and OBP, veterans with youth, choosing coaches more wisely, and being philosophically balanced between metrics and baseball fundamentals. As it is, each year he's just looking more and more like Mr. Magoo. The CDC should begin protecting the nation of Yankee fans against the virus that is Cashman-Magoo.

We took her out to dinner last night, at which time she offered to take us for breakfast today. She said she was an early riser. Ruthie even sprang out of bed by around 7:30. Our guest, Trudy, didn’t rise until 7:00 (Said she’s always up at 6:00). She has a million stories about her life to tell. Since she has Asperger’s since been gifted with an incredible memory and she goes to the greatest lengths to share all of the details. Quite often there is argument or two involved in the story in which is always right and the other person wrong. Since most of the stories are about people we don’t know (and sometimes places, or s house she or her sister once owned, we get lost in the middle of what she’s saying. And she will not let you get a word in edgewise. So we listened to her story this morning for an excruciating 1.5 hours and then she abruptly rose and said she better get headed down the road. At a VERY last second she asked what our dog’s name were, patted each one. I gladly traded the promised breakfast for her departure. It’s a load… Ruthie was food-motivated in riding from bed. I did get another 3-4 hours sleep after she left…

I almost did that last night, but when my sinuses drained out, I made myself get up and climb in bed for the extra comfort…

Hi Mike. I finally had some time to peruse these articles. Thank you for yet another idea I can examine with my doctor. The restless leg thing is not a common occurrence, so I don’t think it’s a factor to be concerned about. I get more of a restless body most of the time. I roll from side to side. Though I occasionally wake up sleeping on my back, I don’t start out that way because I always snore when I’m on my back. I’ve noticed that if I subconsciously wind up lying on my stomach that’s a certainty that I won’t be going to sleep soon, so I might as well get up. Thank you for your concern. Hope you’re doing better…

Let’s go back to stimulus checks and bountiful lifetime unemployment compensation for life with free medical, but just for verifiable Yankee fans. After all, we’re entitled to live our best life. The money will be easy to find. We’ll just pull it from congressional graft, which will be okay for the Congress people because they can use it as a tax write off (new charity “Relief for Yankee Fans”, public donations allowable with same tax write off. Bill Gates? Bezos?) * Satiric humor, not intended as a political point. Yeah, I’m on the edge of a cliff on this one, but I did mention an politicians name…🤓

This is a fine kettle of fish. I took my pills tonight at 10:20Afterward I realized that I hadn’t used the pill cutter and had taken a whole pill again.
Expecting the same result as last time, I quickly drank an extra 12 Oz. glass of water. I went to bed so I wouldn’t stumbling around the house and waited for the pill to do its thing.
Now it’s 2:15 and, nothing. The only conceivable explanation is that somehow I missed the bottle with the Trazadone in it, and I’m not going to take it now and wake up three days from now.
What a maroon…

Time to try to sleep again.

I added a comforter because I usually one cover with a top sheet in summer. 🥶…

It’s an official no sleep night. I’m going to go lay down now and see what happens. I’m going to set an alarm for noon. Might give me a better chance to sleep tonight. Or maybe I’ll turn it off and keep sleeping…

Hope you’re doing better… Inger I suffered from restless leg syndrome for years. The medicine my doctor prescribed for me would work for a few months but eventually quit working. About 6 months ago my doctor prescribed pregabalin. It has worked great, no more restless legs, which are a real nuisance. Fortunately otherwise I sleep fine with my cpap.

What a maroon… Sarah tried Trazadone without success. Ambien worked for her mostly, but even then she had to supplement it with either alcohol 🍷 or Benadryl. For a long time, I was sleeping only a couple hours a night, which was affecting my work. I was prescribed Estazolam, which I tried once and was rendered without any sleep at all, not even an hour. I stopped taking it immediately, not just because it was ineffective but because it is a Benzodiazepine, which can be life threatening to get off of once you've become accustomed to it.
