As for Ruthie’s condition, our doctor is not sure a lower altitude will solve her issues. Early age smoking, possible COPD. I guess we aren’t going to plan to move at this point after all. Just keep getting her tests done. We might move all the way down to sea-level and she may still ha d the same issues.
Plus the area we were looking at has a bunch of underpriced real estate for a reason. The properties are either uninsurable or insured at a premium price that’s about 4X our current insurance rate due to the perceived fire risk. Shame. Gorgeous little development that’s like doomed to long-term failure unless those buying there assume their own risk. The modest homes tigers may become get away cabins off people who can afford a place to get away for the weekends and not be ruined financially if the places burn.
Odd. The development has received an award from the state for being fire wise. Yet, the insurance company doesn’t seem to recognize a lower risk.

Yesterday I came close to swallowing a really big piece of frozen Potatoe. The Lord watched out for me, if he had not I likely would not be here today. I smash everything with a fork, somehow it slipped through. For someone terrified of choking it shook me up.
The Dr. suggested yesterday drinking sprite rather coke since (this surprised me) it is the caffeine not the sugar or carbonization that causes bad acid reflux. And getting something to raise my bed when I sleep.

I can't stand just water. It has no flavor. Plus coke is comfort food for me.

I just limit myself to one a day now. In practice I drink small cans anyhow since I rarely come close to finishing the ones I open.

I just limit myself to one a day now. In practice I drink small cans anyhow since I rarely come close to finishing the ones I open. I’m reminded of a situation that occurred at a neighbors house once. The parents took the son to the doctor because his urine was discolored (brown). It turned out that they were buying their Pepsi several cases at a time from Sam’s Club, storing them in their garage, and the often unsupervised 10-year old was drinking about a case of Pepsi per day…

One possible reason for this? As Emily read, magnesium calms the nervous system and is proven to help lower stress hormones, ease anxiety and boost deep sleep by three hours a night - factors that can help increase fat loss by up to 97%. (Click through to our sister site to discover how magnesium can help end restless leg syndrome.) www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/the-magnesium-for-anxiety-hype-is-hard-to-swallow-i-did-anyway/ar-AA1gFUP2?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=22cfe03c64654c1093b65a38542e0bd4&ei=15Although I’ve never pursued an actual diagnosis, I suspect I’ve had anxiety since at least as early as my college years. But lately it’s become all too much, and zoning out with video games, a workout or two a week, and a few impersonal therapy sessions haven’t been enough to keep me from worrying too much about the little things, and it’s been driving a wedge in my relationship. Something obviously had to change — and then I came across several TikToks suggesting a simple over-the-counter supplement, magnesium, was essentially a wonder drug for anxiety. “Dude, I feel like I took a Klonopin,” one guy said in a TikTok, referring to a type of benzodiazepine used to treat panic order and anxiety. “I’ve been on this stuff for, like, four days, and every single day I have not had any anxiety, and I haven’t taken Klonopin.” Another man on TikTok said that after taking magnesium and vitamin D3, “I don’t have anxiety anymore. Thirty years — anxiety my whole life; I don’t have it anymore.” A commenter added, “This is the first thing to actually help me,” and another chimed in, “Dude I started the exact same thing a few months ago. IT WORKS!!!!” And it’s not just a TikTok fad. I’m a medical student (yeah, now you know why I have anxiety), and I recently worked with a doctor who prescribed it for an anxious patient. Of course, I also know that anxiety isn’t something you try to cure just with an over-the-counter supplement; crippling or chronic anxiety may require therapy and a measured approach to lifestyle changes — all things I plan on doing. But in the meantime…I was curious. Could this supplement work? So, considering that taking magnesium at a normal supplement dose doesn’t pose any serious health risks for most people — diarrhea with nausea and cramping is the worst case scenario, and I could easily just stop taking it if it messed up my GI system — I decided to give it a try. There are nearly a dozen over-the-counter magnesium supplement options — magnesium glycinate and citrate, taurate and carbonate, oxide and malate — but magnesium glycinate is the one most often taken for anxiety. Josh Corn, N.D., a naturopathic doctor and medical educator, said on TikTok, “In my clinical experience, I find that magnesium glycinate is best for anxiety because it’s easily absorbed, and it can also help with muscle tension and stress, which often comes along with anxiety.” It’s also one of the gentlest on the stomach, so it sounded like a great choice to me. www.msn.com/en-us/health/medical/scientists-reveal-new-findings-about-older-adults-who-take-vitamin-d/ar-AA1eRqsJ?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=a63fd0847f7c46638c9acef80d782e93&ei=19 Scientists Reveal New Findings About Older Adults Who Take Vitamin D www.msn.com/en-us/health/nutrition/5-nutrients-that-might-stop-alzheimer-s-and-foods-rich-in-them/ss-AA1gNiTB?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=a757eb8898034e7bada2f10295168bc8&ei=19#image=1 5 Nutrients That Might Stop Alzheimer’s — and Foods Rich in Them www.msn.com/en-us/health/nutrition/are-you-getting-enough-potassium-here-s-what-to-know-about-the-mineral-how-to-get-more/ar-AA1b5rsH?ocid=hpmsn&cvid=f2c9384574eb43eba014123b55bdf56c&ei=13#image=1 Are you getting enough potassium?
