Benedryl always knocks me out. It does fairly well. It’s not right for me since I live a a high elevation in a super-dry climate. It dries me out too much. Hydration is a constant concern here… Hadn't thought about that. It does dry you out. Reckon that's why it's good for a runny nose.

Yes, and even though my kidney function is just a touch below normal (I can’t notice anything, but the blood test numbers reveal it) it’s apparent that my type 2 diabetes is taking aim at them. I drink a LOT of water every day. You seldom see me without it…

My Trazodone experience is a mixed bag. While I sleep better generally, the hours have not been greatly improved. I’m still not falling asleep until after 1:00 AM, which is progress of a kind. I would be ecstatic if I could be rendered unconscious by 10:00 PM. I would be a special man with eight hours of sleep 😴

And if its not working to satisfaction, you can always talk to your doctor about switching to something else.

The first night I decided to take the entire pill but was groggy the next day. The second night, I took half of the pill, and I did not feel groggy or foggy at all the next morning.

This outdoor work is taking a bit of a toll on me. I used an electric reciprocating saw to trim some branches off my aspens a few weeks ago, and to do a couple of other chores. That saw had a lot of vibration. Then I used my left hand to hold some stakes I hammered in and in some other jobs with hammering.
I’ve never had my carpal tunnel syndrome treated in my left hand, but I’ve got it aggravated quite badly now. For the first time in years I’m wearing a wrist brace to help support the left hand and relieve the annoying numbness and severe tingling. I woke up several times last night with the entire hand numb, cold, and tingling. I’ve been taking extra Vitamin B6 and B12 at night as well, as both seem to help rein in the symptoms.
Hopefully it’ll settle down as it usually does into something that is an occasional mild annoyance…

Had the other hand done about 37? years ago. The tests show the condition is still existent, but it’s still asymptomatic.

I saw a humorous pin today that reminded me of ChiYankee.
A friend suggested I sign up for the company’s 401K. There’s no way I can run that far…

Mine was tiny anyway and shrinking fast, so we cashed out and used the $$$ to help us move and buy this joint we’re in. Old enough to not suffer a penalty and we got a healthy amount of the pre-tax back, too. No regrets. It would have been a goner…

It would have been a goner… George Carlin said it a long time ago: paraphrased - Now they want your social security and your retirement, and they'll get it, too. What they want is more for themselves and less for everybody else.
