Yankees are going to be 7 behind soon. Not believing yet.Not really, they need two teams to fall apart and Boston, while they keep winning games. That's a lot to ask. It took Seattle to go 14-4 while Toronto went 7-10, Boston went 8-10, Angels went 6-12, and Yankees went 5-13 to pass all 4 teams and they were 5.5 behind the WC leader not 7. So Yea Seattle was really fortunate.

So if we take care of business against them then we just need Texas to fall apart. Hopefully a repeat of the series in May with Judge owning them in Vlad's house.

Let the boys play and see how it turns out. If they get close, I’ll get more and more excited. If this is a fairy tale, then so be it. We got what we wanted, except of course another look at Florial…

I liked that little squirt a little better in 2020 when he crapped the bed. I was hoping he’d never be the same without his buzzer or trash can lid…

Stanton made more effort on his curtain call than running the bases.

Cole has an amusing Stanton story.

Nice story. Hopefully that HR locked up the Cy Young.

Cole has an amusing Stanton story. I have come to appreciate Stanton's stoic approach and the easy grace he showed in taking a curtain call last night. A more sensitive type would have blown it off after all the booing he has been targeted with over the past few years. He tipped his cap and mouthed "thank you" to a suddenly supportive crowd. Like every Yankee fan I find his constant injuries maddening, and he can look as bad at the plate as any hitter in the game. It makes me yell too. But at least he owns it, he doesn't make excuses, he calls the missed time "unacceptable." It will probably be a painful three or four more years, whatever it is, playing out his contract. Even with that, though, he can still hit the ball as hard and as far as anyone you will ever see. I know there's more to the game than that, but it's not totally negligible either.
