Josh Hader and the Astros have agreed to a 5-yr/$95M contract… Of ALL TEAMS !!!!! Hader is a difference maker. They could have used some of that Yamamoto money to sign him.

Instead of going the extra mile to finish the team, we are once again in dumpster diving mode. I can almost predict what will happen as we get close to the season. During spring training one of our starters will come up with a sore arm, shoulder tightness or some similar form of injury and not be available until mid-May-June. Down a starter we will fill the gap with minor league pitchers on innings limits that at best give us 4 innings. By mid to late June the bullpen will be spent having to get 12 outs in most games. Holmes will at some point start blowing saves through his wildness and then at the trade deadline Cashman will give up viable assets to get a pitcher that turns out to be a bust. Sound familiar?

That's the end of Gleyber as a Yankee. All of these star studded IF aquisitions means Gleyber has to be the odd man out

WS ... this season? Oof. Better slow your expectations. We don't have the pitching. Rangers (90 Wins) and Dbacks (84 Wins) were 18th and 20th respectively in team ERA last season ... Yankees were 10th despite losing Rodon, Nester and half their BP to injuries and without the addition of Stroman Rangers didnt have 1 SP reach 30 Starts and used 10 Different starters throughout the Season Dbacks used 14 SPs. They had 2 Solid Starting pitchers and the rest of the Rotations was a disaster Neither of these teams has a pitcher as good as Cole or a healthy Rodon Winning the World Series is all about making the postseason and getting hot at the right time ... Yankees will make the postseason if they can stay relatively healthy What is your reason for our recent failures?

My problem isnt that they didnt get hader but that they did nothing at all about the bullpen and only got one starter . I mean 5 years for a reliever is insane

And though Soto will help the Yankees lead the league in runs scored, I view him as less important to the Yankees than Cole. The success of he season is all about the health of a few guys with extensive injury histories. We can't do anything but watch and hope.

And they are still paying for that and will probably be paying for that in the years to come

Yeah i am with you on that . They just dont learn from past mistakes The same guy wouldn't be getting this many opportunities to make those decisions with other organizations. Noone who really cares about winning would keep the same gm for over 20 years . There comes a time when fresh eyes and a new prospective is needed . And imo that time came years ago

Supposedly former major league ballplayer Carlos Baergra is reporting on his Instagram that rumors are Yankees and Hector Neris are closing in on a deal.
