1. Brett Gardner (L) LF 2. Aaron Judge (R) RF 3. Giancarlo Stanton (R) DH 4. Hicks (S) CF 5. Tyler Austin (R) 1B 6. Miguel Andujar (R) 3B 7. Austin Romine (R) C 8. Ronald Torreyes (R) SS 9. Gleyber Torres (R) 2B
Weird lineup. No Didi for the second straight day against a lefty (He's not injured, I checked). And no Red Thunder.

Red Thunder needs to be in there. I would have sat Gardner again.

He's got to be a mess in there right now. If I would have made the decision to use this particular subset of players for the day, I would have moved Torres up to sixth and batted Andujar eighth, ahead of Torreyes...OR perhaps even better yet...I think I would have batted Torreyes second and just moved everyone else down a notch for the day... I think there is a good argument for Gardner over Frazier because Gardner has been heating up, and we need him to do that...Somehow, even though Hicks has been going well, I just feel as though the clean up spot should belong to someone else. By batting Torres second and pushing everyone else down, we could accomplish that. Damn rookie manager. He never even called me to get my opinion. I'm going to have a talk with Brian if he ever starts taking any of the forty or fifty calls I make to him every day...

Sanchez was 4 for 5 with two home runs yesterday. I've been waiting for him to have that kind of break out. And, he's sitting. Stanton should be in right today, Sanchez the DH, and Judge gets a day off.

And, I'm still waiting on that Yankees letterman jacket he promised.

I don't like Sanchez being off today, either...but then again...who would EVER give him a day off and use Romine? So once again, Gray, who does not have a personal catcher, will be pitching to Romine...I don't know why, but I have a feeling we're going to see the "Good Sonny Gray" today...Perhaps a performance for the ages. Or is that for the aged? In any event, because my prescription plan sucks I will have to drive an hour each way to pick up a few scripts for Ruthie and I. I'm probably going to go ahead and leave for Colorado Springs before the game starts and miss the early goings on. I haven't really decided yet. It's one of those days that I have several things I WANT to do and a few that HAVE to do and really don't know if I want to do anything...I hate that kind of day...
Back to Sanchez...and his 4 for 5...I used to get the feeling that Girardi felt as though a player only had so many hits in him within a two day period, so if the player used up those hits he wouldn't play him the next day...

I can understand Boone not wanting to play Frazier in CF but he should be in LF. The Yanks don't need both Gardner & Hicks in the lineup at the same time.

I think this has more to do with Gray needing to pitch to Romine than giving Sanchez the day off. Heck, the Yanks have had three days off this week, so Gary should be well rested.

Judge doesn't look right and even though they just had a couple days off, he looks like he could probably use another.

Romine ruins a rally by almost hitting into a triple play. Why is he hitting ahead of Torres?

Why is Torres still batting ninth?

I'm following on Game Day, so don't really know for sure, but it seems like Yanks are hitting the ball hard.
