5 guys make up the Yankees all time top 25. Can any major league franchise match a top 5 of Ruth, Gehrig, DiMaggio, Mantle and Judge?

If that isn't a requirement the Giants are formidable but still fall short with Mays, Bonds, Ott, McCovey and Cepeda.

I thought the HR list was the total HRs of 3 players on one team in the same year.

I thought of the Giants too, but I was thinking top 30ish best and I feel only Mays and Bonds* are top 30. All of the Yankees are top 30. If I was to expand to top 100, you could argue Ozzie Smith, Lou Brock and McGwire*.

In these rankings Ott never seems to crack top 30 but when you look at his stats he compares very well to some of the guys who do. He has a higher WAR, more hits, HRs and RBIs than Joe. Joe had a higher BA and OPS. I know it's hard to compare players from different eras and I never saw either of these guys play but on paper they look comparable. Not sure about Ott's glove and Joe was a pretty good defender while playing a premium position.

Excluding those who were enhanced, McCovey holds the single season IBB record ! That tells us something about how his peers felt towards him.

They are all greats and Ott an McCovey would make my top 100.
